Revelations 4:1-2

After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

This scripture shows us two personalities, John and our Lord Jesus. The bible makes us to understand that John on the Island of Patmos, after the Lord had shown him and spoken to him about the seven churches in Asia. God told him to come up hither.

When God said Come Up Hither, what did he mean? The Lord asking that man should come towards him. When God says come up hither, he is saying come nearer. It also means come closer, and what God says to John, he says to everyone.

It is unusual and unacceptable for anyone to be with God and be stagnant as a Christian. God move people from level to level. God moves people from on dimension to a higher dimension. Rom. 1:17 “Therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, the Just shall live by faith”.  God moves people in levels – Proverbs 4:18 “The path of the Just is as a shining light shinning brighter and brighter unto the perfect day”. So, you cannot claim to know God and remain the same.

Come hither is an invitation for a shift in the realm where you are operating on. You should be tired of where you are, as there is somewhere higher reserved for you.

Man’s fall in the garden of Eden was a total fall to the ground. Since then, there has been a journey of necessity for man to go back to God. There is a necessity to journey back from the place of fall where man lost his authority, to a place when he has to regain his authority. This is the race we are all running, and the realm everyone is operating differs, that’s why there is a call to come up hither.

God is calling us to realms where things can happen effortlessly for us without struggle. Coming up hither requires that we go the a process. There is path to follow. Come up hither is not just an experience it is an encounter.

The Price to Pay to Come Up Hither

1.            Surrender Your Life to Jesus: Luke 19:5 “” You have to surrender your life to Jesus and become a child of God. Being a child of God is the first level to going up hither but it is not enough. Gal. 4:4 “An heir as long as he is a child differ not from the servant, though he be lord of all”. If you are a child of God and you are not growing up, there is a problem. Many persons remain at the level of children and they are missing a lot. Anybody at the level of Children, for such person to come up hither, he needs to feed on the word of God (1 Peter 2:2).

2.            Move to being a Son: When you begin to feed on the word and obey the Lord to do the things he wants you to do, then you can become a Son. Romans 8:14 “As many as are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God”. Sons have the nature of God and it is at that level they deploy the instrument of Prayer and address the issues of life.

There are other levels of accession, even to the point where a man become god; Exodus 7:1 “The LORD answered Moses, See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.”. The question is; which level do you want to choose? You must come up Hither.

– Lord help me to come up hither. Deliver me from rising and falling in Jesus name.
