REVELATION 12:7-11 (KJV)

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

INTRODUCTION

Many times, when people go through challenges they scream the “Blood of Jesus” because they know that the Blood is an instrument of warfare, but the Bible tells us that the devil that kills and torments, there is an instrument we use against him not just the Blood but there is another instrument called the Word of our Testimony.

Testimonies are powerful. Testimony begats testimonies. Testimony is an instrument of warfare,  it’s an instrument you use to put the devil to shame. It’s an instrument you use to move to a greater height (testimony begats testimonies).

Because the devil knows that testimony is an instrument of warfare, he will try to hinder you from having testimonies.

For those testimonies to come forth, there are various seasons one must go through:

1. The season of fire: the fire season is when you are going through a challenge, it’s painful, you seem all alone, and people don’t understand. It is during this season some people compromise and get bitter with God that they backslide. Some out of pain say the wrong things, Acts 16:22-23, Daniel 6:10, Zachariah 13:9. The fire season will test you. It will come but note that God said in His word “Behold, I am with you always, I will not leave you nor forsake you”, Isaiah 43:1-2. The fire season is just a season preparing you for your wonderful testimonies. Isaiah 48:10. The fire season is the time to put on the faith garment and connect with faith and what should prevail is your faith.
2. The season of Faith: when you go through the fire season you should manifest faith in God, we heard stories about Daniel, Paul and Silas in the Bible who went through the fire season and still connected their faith to God. Amid Challenges, you should stay connected to God, holding on to His word knowing that He will not fail you. It is time you connect with faith, for without faith it is impossible to please God. God is a rewarder but first, you must manifest faith. Without a TEST there will be no TESTIMONY. The testimony comes when you overcome! 1 Peter 1:7. Don’t give up! Don’t compromise! Jude 1:3, hold on!
3. The season of Fulfilment: this is the season when the Word of God is fulfilled in your life, Isaiah 55:11, God’s word will not return void. In Daniel’s case,  we see how he went through the fire season without compromising and he manifested faith, afterwards, there was a fulfilment, Daniel 6:21-22. The fulfilment season comes when you pass through the fire season without compromising and you still manifest faith in God and when God’s word is fulfilled, the wonderful testimonies come forth.

PRAYER:

My Father! My Father! You are my helper, help me through the fire season. Help me not to compromise my faith and my stand in you, help me not to backslide, help me to maintain my innocence.
