Matthew 16:18

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Your level of liberty is determined by the revelation you have; the level of possession is a function of the revelation you have in certain areas.

Many people want victory in life but they don’t have sufficient revelation of He who will give them the victory. In Matthew 16:18 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” That means, when you lack revelation, the gates of hell prevails. When you lack revelation, the gates of hell has freedom to exercise full time authority over you. When you lack revelation, you cannot be blessed. Jesus told Peter “You are blessed because you have a revelation”. By reason for this revelation, the gates of hell shall not prevail. He goes on to say by reason of this revelation, I’m going to give you authority. The Authority was based on the revelation.

So many homes are perishing, so many lives are experiencing deficit, they are not experiencing the abundance of life because they lack revelation.

Beloved, there is something unique about knowledge; you level of knowledge is the level of Attention you get. Knowledge brings you attention, acceleration and access to you, knowledge can bring attainment to you. Daniel, Shedrack, Meshack and Abednego, the bible makes it clear that it was because of the fact that God had given them knowledge; they were introduced to the King’s service. [Daniel 1:17]

Knowledge has to be acquired; Proverbs 18:15 (NIV) “The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge”. In times like this, we come to church so that we can acquire knowledge about Jesus, Greater knowledge, so that we could have access. So that we can experience acceleration in our day-to-day life, and the breakthrough God wants for us. If knowing Jesus is the knowledge, we have come to seek, who exactly is Jesus?

i.             Jesus is the Life that Satisfies

The word of God make it clear in John 1:4 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life”. Jesus is the Life that satisfies. I have a bit of a challenge with Christians, because some people of other religion, the universal circle is their belief; their dressing, education, politics, association, commitment are determined by their beliefs. So whatever happens is a function of a universal circle which is their belief. So we ask ourselves, if we say Jesus is indeed the life that satisfies, then our universal circle should be Jesus, whatever we do, should be a function of Jesus; but sadly, what we do today is the otherwise.

Jesus is the Life that satisfies. John 11:22 “I am the resurrection and the life”. So when Paul says in Phil. 3:10 – I want to know him, I want to know the life that satisfies. The life that satisfies is a life of purpose, it is a life that pleases God, it is a life that provokes praise unto God, it is a life that is functional. A life that satisfies is a life that is fulfilling purpose.

ii.            Jesus is the Light that shines

When Jesus says in John 8:12 “I am the light of the world, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness”. Some people’s potentials have not been recognized because they have not been operating with the light of God. Some people have missed out of their opportunities because there is darkness. Isaiah 10:17 “The Light of Israel shall be a fire, his holy one for a flame, he shall devour thorns”. That means when the Light of God is upon you, you are a fire.

iii.           Jesus is the lifter of our head – he is the lifter that sustains

In Psalm 3:3, bible says Jesus is the lifter of our head. He is the lifter that sustains. He makes sure that you are seated with him far above in heavenly places. He is the lifter that sustains. As many that has been in the pit of sorrow, sickness, stagnancy, and satanic stronghold be lifted in the name of Jesus.

When you have this knowledge about Jesus and walk by it, you are like the woman at the well of Jacob in John 4:7 – You will have a new beginning of glory.

• Oh Lord help me, give me that life that satisfies in Jesus name
• Oh Lord I reject darkness, I receive your light in Jesus name
• Oh Lord, I receive a lifting. Lift me up from shame in Jesus name
