Glorious Vision ~ Pastor Belemina Obunge
Topic: Glorious Vision

This month, we are talking about vision, glorious vision. People had often said that vision talks about seeing the impossible and believing it’s possible. Some people talk about vision being your destiny. The word of us tells us about a young boy David in 1 Sam 17:22-24, how that when he went to give his brothers food, and witnessed the menace Goliath was causing to the Army of Israel; while other were afraid, David saw a vision of victory. My prayer is that, no matter the challenges you face, you shall see victory in the midst of the challenge in Jesus name.
David in verse 29 realized that God brought him to the field for a cause. Wherever you find yourself, God brought you there for a reason. Joseph realized that he was in Potiphar’s place for a cause, he realized that he was in the prison for a cause and that’s why he fulfilled vision. David said “Is is not for a cause that I am here?” And you see, the others didn’t see it. In verse 32, David said, “Let no man’s heart fail him, thy servant will go and fight with this philistine” He had already seen victory.
I realized that people of vision, are given that vision to confront challenges in life. Whenever God gives you a vision, it’s for you to confront challenges in life. Vision is not meant to be wasted, He gives you vision to become a solution provider to your generation. Vision is not a function of age, once God gives you a vision, he want you to be a solution to your generation. Proverbs 29:18. The men had no vision so they fled, one man had a vision and he handled the challenge.
So people lacked vision and ran away, some flew out of Nigeria. Today, I want to ask you; what is that vision that God had put in your hand, and up until now you have been disobedient to that vision. Vision is your destiny in pictures; David saw Goliath coming down before Goliath came down. Is there someone that can see that vision been made manifest?
Vision is about the future – “I know the thoughts I think towards you, thoughts of good and not of evil that will give you an expected end.” There are places you’ve never been before, but you see yourself getting there, you may not have attained it but you see yourself climbing up there.
Seeing the invisible and believing that it is possible, that is Vision. You see it, others don’t see it son they can’t operate on your frequency but you see. Therefore you are operating on a divine frequency that others can’t connect to, so they are behind. You don’t need anyone’s permission to fulfill God’s vision for your life.
CHARACTERISTICS OF PEOPLE OF VISION
i. You will see it in their confessions. Your confession is an indication of your desired possession. David was clear about what he wanted. so when you go forth, keep speaking that vision to yourself, because you becomes synonymous with your vision
ii. People of Divine vision are confident. The men ran but the boy stood to confront the man. Beloved, let’s be confident, a just man may fall seven times but he will rise seven. Why is he rising? It is because he is confident that he is not going to stay down.
iii. People of vision have a clarity to what they want. Mark 8:23-35
iv. People of vision are courageous. We’ve often said courage is moving on, inspite of your fears. 2 Samuel 23:15-16. The mighty men of David went through the enemy because they were focused on the vision
v. Your vision should attract you to the source of the vision. You are thinking of it and praying about it because the vision is drawing you. My prayer is that as many that have a vision, the vision shall draw you untill it is achieved in Jesus name.
Finally, your vision should connect you to God. How do you know a divine vision, a divine vision should be so big that without the visioneer – the source of the vision, you can’t make it. It’s so big that you realized that for it to be made manifest you have to connect to God.
- M father my father, please don’t forsake me. I connect myself to your light in Jesus name
- My father, my father, in anyway I have missed your plans for my life, I am sorry. Help me.
