INTRODUCTION

In this account, we see pilgrims that had gone ahead of us. In verse 6 of this chapter, we will see something entire about these men: “But without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that he his…”. We notice a general characteristic of all that came to God in this account; and it is the fact that they believed that “GOD is” and that is what made them who they were. We may want to ask what God is? Faith is believing that God is, God exist; it is the resolve in a man’s heart that there is God somewhere; it is the assurance that there is a God and he doesn’t fail.

Moses, being one of the patriarchs, when he was sent by God, asked God what he would say if he is asked who sent him; and GOD told him He is I AM. For everyone who has walked with God in time, it has always been by the revelation of the I AM. There is that settlement in their heart that no matter what happens, there is a God. This is the summary of what faith is; we see men in this account who without hope believed God.

If we are going to continue in our walk with God, no matter the season, we must believe that he is. There must be that strong resolve in any man that must follow God to know that truly God is. We must catch the revelation of the I AM. Bible speaking about Moses said: He saw something and decided to forfeit the pleasures of Egypt. He saw Him that was invisible. Such a man that saw something invisible could not be enticed with anything again.

If we will move a step further in our walk with God, it must be with the resolve that he is. If any of us will continue till the end of our lives, holding on what is faith, it must be by that continuous revelation of the I AM; it will be keeping Jesus before our eyes, knowing that he is, so that whatever situation we find ourselves in life.

AS we journey on in life, not knowing when the Lord shall come, we must resolve that we must follow him till our dying day. One beautiful thing you’d notice about these men of faith was that they knew where they were going to. Bible says “Jacob by faith,” Men of faith, at the point of death are not uncertain, they are certain.

Friends, as we walk through this journey of faith, if you have not joined the journey of faith, the Lord is calling you, and if you have joined us, the Lord desires that you keep his revelation as the I AM in front of your heart. Let not situation, predicament, comfort and peace rub you of the precious faith in our Lord Jesus.

CONCLUSION

Hebrews 12:1 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”. We need patience in the race that has been set before us. Men have walked with God, men are still walking with God. When the congregation of the saints will be set forth, what will be your testimony.
