Topic: Ever Increasing Family

The word of God makes is clear in Job 8:7 “Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase”. So, when we are talking about Every Increasing Family, we are talking about people related by blood. As far as family is concerned, it could be lineage by blood. Matt. 1:1-3 the bible talks about the lineage of Jesus. Family talks about a lineage.

Family also talks about those that are related together. In Genesis 18:19 “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord”; from the scripture, we see that Abraham household was not his family but whatever he did with that household, he was going to be held responsible. So members of your household are your family.

Family also talks about those that are linked by similar characteristics. For example, when we talk about Achivers family, you’d say, they all live in the same location. Also for us as children of God, we are all linked by the blood.

So when we are talking about the ever increasing family, there should be certain things in this family that should continue to increase. “The glory of the latter shall be greater than the former”.

Every Family we are involved in, whether by lineage or by offices, wherever it is; to the glory of God should experience the kind of increase that brings testimony.

THINGS THAT SHOULD INCREASE IN OUR FAMILIES

1. LOVE: I believe so much that each and every one of us should manifest love. 1 Thessalonians 4:9, Heb. 13:1. It is important that each and everyone of us will manifest love. There are words we say that brings wounds to the hearts of others. Prents have the responsibility to always tell their children that they love them. Children, youths, teengers, also owe their parents love. We should let us speak the language of love. Love never fails, and it is important for us to know that if we have God in us, we have love.
2. LEARNING: Prov. 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it”. As we continue to go forth in life, we’d realize that learning never ends. Not just intellectual learning, but also the word of God. 2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also”. We should continue to learn and teach others. I’ve been privileged to move with Daddy G.O. for a while and one thing that amazes me is that I realize that he listens to a lot of tapes, he reads a lot of books, he watches film that enhances learning and he learns. Approaching 80 years, he is still learning. Let’s not think we know it all. Let’s keep learning.
3. LAUGHTER: Prov. 17:22 “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones”. Laughter removes stress and reduces blood presure. Psalm 126:1-2 shows clearly that when people are in captivity, they frown. Frowning is associated with sorrow and captivity. Beloved brethren, let laughter continue, and let joy unspeakable when someone comes in contact with you, let them have no choice but to rejoice and be happy. Wherever we are, let our smile reduce stress and tension. The joy ofthe Lord is our strength.
4. LIBERTY: You can’t be a member of the body of Christ and demons are still weighing you down. One is not limited by those strong-holds of the enemy. Gal 5:1. But, the scripture tells us what can hinder the freedom; it says do not be entangled with the yoke of bondage. So, when one gives room to sin, bondage comes in. When one gives room to compromise in the office, bondage comes in. When one gives room to yoke of bitterness, bondage comes in.

Beloved, one is in bondage if they have bitterness, if they have sin, if their ways aren’t right with God; such a person is in bondage and affliction. So when the enemy comes like a flood, the holy spirit is not there to raise a standard because one is in bondage and have not reconciled their ways with God. I want to appeal to you today, as we are talking about the ever increasing family, if there are issues you need to sought out in your homes, office, or church, please sort it out. Now is the time to sort it out.

My father, my father, I reject every plans of the enemy to keep me in bondage.
Oh Lord help me to manifest love
Oh Lord help me to manifest your qualities in my life.
