Mark 10:46-52 (KJV)

46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. 50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, what wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. 52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

INTRODUCTION

Blind Bartimaeus refused to allow others opinion hinder his faith, don’t allow the opinion of others hinder you from getting your breakthrough. He determined Enough is Enough and Jesus connected with the faith of Bartimaeus because he was ready for a divine intervention.

Jesus asked him “What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?” and he was definite and specific and told Jesus “Lord, that I might receive my sight” and immediately he had his testimony. One thing I have realized is that God is all possible (Luke 1:37), and all things are possible to them that believeth and that’s why Bartimaeus was healed because he believed (Mark 9:23).

The great things we see now is because people believed, the people that invent things just like the Aero plane believed and worked on their believe.

God is not just all possible but he is all powerful (Psalm 62:11), let’s understand that the currency of heaven is faith and that also is the currency of believers. We should begin to operate with that currency (the currency of FAITH). (Jeremiah 32:17) No matter the kind of testimony you are struggling for, nothing is too hard for HIM, God has done it for somebody and He will do it for you.

God is an always present God (Psalm 46:1), no matter what you are going through, God is ever present. Sometimes we worry asking God “where are you?” but He said that “I shall not leave you, nor forsake you”. Just understand that God is present and that is something that should give us peace of mind (Psalm 23:4 and 6).

The recognition of the fact that God is always present gives us confidence. Just like blind Bartimaeus, as many that needs a divine intervention, as many that need God to connect with their situation, follow this instruction;

  1. Desire It (Godly desire): One thing is clear that to acquire a thing, you must first desire it. Desire is the key to motivation, it encourages you, it keeps you going. The moment you lose on your desire, you lose your motivation. It is a key to your motivation; it is a key to been mobilized. Blind Bartimaeus was motivated because he has a desire to receive his sight. Desire pushes you forth, it is a key to manifestation. You’ve got to desire. Begin to connect to God’s desire in your life.

Declaration: Any desire that is contrary to God’s will for your life, may such desire scatter in the name of Jesus. Every desire that will cause Havoc in your life may such desire scatter in the name of Jesus. Every evil desire shall not stand in the name of Jesus.

Declaration: That desire that will bring tears of joy, that will enhance your testimony, let that desire spring forth in the name of Jesus.

Desire brings forth a compulsive attraction, when you have a desire, it attracts you towards a goal. It compels actions. Desire is a conquerors asset, any one that has conquered in life has conquered because he/she has a desire.

Declaration: Whatever has subdued you, you shall conquer in the name of Jesus, oppression shall be conquered, sin shall be conquered in the name of Jesus.

Desire has a creative ability. It creates things in your mind that’s why nothing is impossible to him that believeth.

Prayer: My father! My father! every desire, contrary to your will, let it scatter by fire in the name of Jesus.

When you lose your desire, you lose your power.

Declaration: I speak forth strength to as many that has lost the desire to move to the next level in the name of Jesus. I declare by the power of God’s word, the power and the grace to connect with God’s desires for your life, to be made manifest in the name of Jesus.

When you lose your desire, you lose your passion. When you lose your, desire you lose your platform (your platform to be celebrated for greatness).

Declaration: This month, the Lord shall give you a new song. I declare and decree in this land of Nigeria you shall prosper exceedingly in the name of Jesus.

CONCLUSION:

If you want divine possibilities you have to desire it. Not connecting on the right side of God would hinder you from getting divine possibilities. When you move with the wrong desire, you experience the rot of God but when you connect with the right desires, you experience the beauty of God.

PRAYER:

  1. My father! My father! every evil desire, directed against my family, directed against my life, let it scatter in the name of Jesus. Amen!
  2. O Lord any desire in my life that will truncate my destiny, I reject it in the name of Jesus.
  3. O Lord any strong hold of the flesh, that will hinder me making heaven, that will hinder me living a victorious life, be subdued in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER OF SALVATION:

Almighty God, I come before your presence, connecting with your words, I receive grace to live a victorious Christian life, I receive grace to conquer the strong holds of the flesh, I receive grace to live a life that glorifies you, help me oh God, as from today, I rededicate, I surrender my life unto you, have your way in my life, be glorified in my life thank you Jesus for giving me this opportunity, I will not fail you by your grace and mercy, in Jesus’ name we pray Amen!
