The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.[John 10:10]
A we all know, the thief comes to steat: to steal your belongins, to steal your hope and to destroy your destiny; but the Lord says I have come that ye might have life and have it abundantly. There are some facts I will like us to realize as we connect to God that is able to deliver.
The first thing you should realize is that there is a fight for your life, there is a fight5 for the life of your children, there is a fight for the life of your bussiness. You’d notice that even in the time of peace, soldiers prepare for war, because they know that a time will come when their skills will need to be put in operation. They take so much time preparing and planning, even though there is peace because they know that a time would come when war would be at hand. So, whenever we come to church, we hear God’s word and equip ourselves because we know we are facing daily battles.
The word of God makes it clear; Paul speaking about his experience – Romans 7:21-25. And so, a child goes to the university and all of a sudden in year 4 the person gets into one havoc or the other. There is a fight against the destiny of that child; you are moving on with business and all of a sudden business crumbles, it is a fight. The sooner we realized that there is a fight, the better it is. Paul says in 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight of faith”. Beloved, the reason you are in church, as we praise God is to ensure that we are also equipped to fight. My prayer is – no matter the battles you are facing in life, you will come out victorious in Jesus name. (2 Cor. 2:14)
Any christian that does not prepare for battle is a christian that will be living a life of defeat. Any christian that is not effectively equipped for war, will be messed up by the enemy. Let’s understand that there is a fight for life, and the fight is not physical but spiritual. The word of God in Exodus 14:14 says “The LORD shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace”.
You must also understand that you need faith for life. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. People of faith refuse to give up, they believe God can work it out. Your faith is a tool that is required for you to log into your deliverance. Jesus asked the blind man – “What do you want me to do?” He wanted to be sure his faith is connected to him. You see when the righteous cry, the Lord hears and delivers them. They cry because they have faith that God will hear them.
It’s also sad to know that there is a falacy; I call it “THE FALACY OF LIFE”. Some people make one mistake, that they have a challenge and they go go to a native doctor for deliverance. One enemy delivering them from another enemy? The falacy of life is to think that one can get help from any other place apart from God. “Woe is he whose trust is in man”. Matt. 12:25-28 makes it clear that satan cannot cast out satan. So if one is in problem and goes to a place thar is not rooted in God, they’ve missed it.
As I round up, I want you to know that there is a force that is required to prevail. Matt. 11:12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”. The word of God is a force for delieverance and we are strengthened when we believe his word. The blood of Jesus and the anointing are forces of deliverance too. To enjoy the benefits of these forces, you must focus on God and please him with your life.
- My father, my father, help me to please you as I journey through life.
- I shall not be a victim of sin and compromise. Help me oh God.
Oh Lord, I reject every satanic Agenda over my life in Jesus name.
