Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

INTRODUCTION

Nobody goes beyond the level of his knowledge. The difference between the Messenger and the MD is knowledge. Knowledge is an asset, it does not depreciate, Knowledge is power.

Daniel 11:32b, the people that do exploit, is the people who know their God.

ADVANTAGE OF KNOWLEDGE

  1. Knowledge puts you in position of power.
  2. Knowledge gives you an advantage over others.
  3. Knowledge helps you to understand yourself and others.

There are somethings that does not require prayer, that’s why the Bible says ‘watch and pray’ not ‘watch or pray’, that means there’s a place of prayer and there’s a place of watching.

THINGS THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

  1. You must know who you are (Identity): The Bible tells us in Psalm 139:14, that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. When you know who you are, you know yourself. 1 Peter 2:9 further explains who we are.
  • Know where you are from (Source): You came from God, not an ape evolution. Genesis 1:26.
  • Know what you have (Gifts): Anything God uses to transform, deliver or promote people are always around them. Look at Moses (the Rod), Look at Sampson (the Jaw bone of an ass), David (the sling and the 5 stones).

Everything that God will use to take you to the next level is within you. There is no person that is not gifted.

  • Know where you are going (Vision): Habakkuk 2:2-4, if you don’t know where you are going, then it leads you to anywhere.
  • You must know what to do (skills): John 6:6, when you know what to do, you will always be at advantage, life becomes easier.

WAYS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE

  1. Love God (1 Corinthians 8:2-3), when you love God, you’ll seek knowledge and want to know more about Him.
  2. Fear God (Proverb 1:7, John 14:15).
  3. Get Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding (Daniel 9:2, Proverbs 4:7), Attend seminars, read books.
  4. Mentorship (Proverb 13:20).
  5. Ask for it (Isaiah 11:2), connect with the Holy Spirit.

CONCLUSION

Do you know God? or Do you know about God? When you seek knowledge, you attract resources.

The greatest knowledge is the knowledge of God and you cannot know Him without coming to Him.
